Big confrontations during the Asian tour!
The best in the world shine!
Jackpot for the Danes! The tenant of the Yonex IFB title in men’s singles, Anders ANTONSEN (No. 3, Denmark) repeated during the Thailand Open. A first place that was not yet assured, with a first set lost in the final against VITIDSARN (no. 2, Thailand). The Dane has managed to come back and offer himself another success. He will surely be a worthy opponent at the next Internationaux! His mixed doubles teammates CHRISTIANSEN and BØJE (no. 3, Denmark) also sent a strong message by winning the Super 500 in Thailand, the Super 750 in Singapore and the Super 1000 in Indonesia. The world number 1 AN Se Young in women’s singles represented Korea on this tour with wins in Singapore and Indonesia. Last year, she also finished as the winner of the Yonex IFB in her competition. She will be following up very closely in October!
For its part, France is leaving with a title!
France also shone during these tournaments in Asia. Alex LANIER (no.) won the title at the Singapore Open in men’s singles. The player had to play a final in three sets against LOH Kean Yew (no. 14, Singapore) to win this gold medal. In addition, the mixed GICQUEL/DELRUE (n°6) finished in 3rd place in Indonesia after a long fight in the semi-finals where our internationals gave their all before being surprised by the future winners of the category, the Danish pair CHRISTIANSEN/BØJE (n°3). A Frenchman also reached the semi-finals in Malaysia! Christo POPOV (n°5) has joined the semi-finals of the prestigious Malaysian Open, where he faced the Thai, Panitchaphon TEERARATSAKUL (n°18). During the last Yonex French Open, the Frenchman had impressed the whole audience by reaching the finals for the first time. His level this year allows us to hope for such a great outcome for the 2026 edition at the Arena Grand Paris!
