FENG / HUANG took out YAMASHITA/ SHINOYA

“This victory definitely boosted our energy , but we should pay more attention to the shuttle speed because at some of the key points we thought we had smashed hard enough to kill the points but the opponents managed to save them, it’s something we should do better.”HUANG/FENG shared with us after their match : 21/11, 21/12. The Chinese used 37 minutes to earn their next round’s ticket

French’s favorite mixed duo Thom and Delphine on fire !

They are Number 6 seed for the mixed doubles this year , and they are also French people’s favorite national sports stars. First match was pretty smooth for the French 21/17, but they encountered more obstacles from their Asian opponents. 20/20 ! The Coubertin Stadium all lit up at this moment and the loud cheering from the French public was heard from far away. 24/22, the second game was much tougher than the first one but that was a worthy long wait. French right into next round.

ZHENG/HUANG in another play-off with CHRISTIANSEN/BOJE

This match started quite late , but the fans from both sides were not getting less excited for this match. A 3-0 head-to-head advantage for the Chinese, they seemed very confidant in their game. Neither side could leave their opponents far behind, 20-20 for the first game and it’s still going… 25/23 finally the first game for the Danes. The Chinese dragged them to the deciding with a 21/14 for the second game. The public was a bit anxious for the final game: 11/2 for the Chinese at the interval. The fans would be a bit disappointed for this last set 21/10 ,it would have been more exciting if the game had lasted longer time, for now, the Chinese are safe for their next round.
