MD - FINAL : Indonesian power

The world no1 Marcus Fernaldi Gideon and Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo proved once again they are the best pair in the world. After a successful week in Denmark, they won their 2nd Super 750 title in a row. How impressive !

It won’t be this time. The Indians tried to snap a 0-6 record against the world No 1 Marcus Fernaldi Gideon and Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo. Indeed, they didn’t found the keys to knock out the Indonesians. Despite a strong presence on court from the Indians, they spent the entire first game behind, except at the end were they came back at 17-17. The world n°1 scored the 1st game 21-18 leaving their opponents in a difficult position. They knew they had to change tactics for the next game.

It partially worked and they managed to stick to the score (10-11 at the break). Afterwards, the Indonesians speeded up a bit scoring 4 consecutive and crucial points from 12-12 to 16-12. Their opponents couldn’t do much at that moment and had to concede defeat once again to the best pair in the world Marcus Fernaldi Gideon and Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo.

Despite the strong performance from them, we have to give credit to the Indians. Last night, they put aside the Japanese Hiroyuki Endo/Yuta Watanabe in straight games. For sure they didn’t reach the last round for no reasons.
