MD - Semi-finals : Incredible matches

One more step before the finals. World ranked number 1 will try to win another French Open title tomorrow facing outsiders from India.

Minions still number 1

After a very successful week in Denmark, the Indonesians managed to reach another Super 750 final. How impressive ! Not always easy to play so many tournaments in a row. But we are talking about the world champions ! Marcus Fernaldi GIDEON and Kevin Sinjaya SUKAMULJO showed once again their fighting spirit on court. « We are very happy with our performance today and we love to play here in Paris. » They defeated a pair from Chinese Taipei, LIAO/SU in straight games, 21-18, 23-21.

Standing ovation for the Indians

The 5th seeded pair from Japan has been defeated in semifinals by the Indians RANKIREDDY/SHETTY. For the very first time, the Japanese lost against this pair. The fact is that Yuta WATANABE is also playing mixed doubles and he has to play more matches than their opponents. Today, he struggled to keep up with the Indian speed.

After a huge 2nd set, both pairs literally played with their guts to get into the final round. The score is talking for itself. The Indians won the match 21-11, 25-23. Huge challenge for them tomorrow : they are going to face the world ranked number 1, Marcus Fernaldi GIDEON and Kevin Sinjaya SUKAMULJO for the French Open title.
