Marcus Fernaldi GIDEON/Kevin Sinjaya SUKAMULJO met their rivals at stade Pierre de Coubertin, the ones that stopped them from winning the French Open title last year. This time, this is the Chinese pair HAN/ZHOU who couldn’t keep up with the Indonesian speed. They were defeated by the first seeded and current world n°1, Marcus Fernaldi GIDEON/Kevin Sinjaya SUKAMULJO, 23-21, 21-14. They are on their way to win another title, helped by the amazing French crowd. 

UPSET OF THE DAY

With a solid defense and a strong back court game, the 4th seeded Japanese pair, KAMURA/SONODA has been defeated by a surprisingly strong pair from Chinese Taipei LIAO/SU in only 38 minutes of play, 21-14, 21-15.
